On December 7, 2007, the pagoda was started to build on a total area of ​​20 hectares, with a total investment of over 24 billion VND by mobilized capital from socialization and inaugurated phase I at the end of 2009. The pagoda in near Bai Dai tourist area famous for its unspoiled beauty on the shores of Bai Tu Long Bay. With its back leaning against the mountain, facing the sea, this is probably one of the most beautiful temples in Vietnam's pagoda system. This is also Giac Tam Zen Monastery, one of the two Buddhist monasteries of Quang Ninh.

At present, the pagoda has completed the construction of all items: the monastery - the main hall is 2 floors high and 6,000 m2 wide, the three-way gate, the ancestral house, the bell tower, the monk's residence, the guest house for monks and nuns, the wharf. parking...
Phase II investment in Cai Bau pagoda has been continued, including: Seven abbots, seven specialized monks, meditation hall, gallery of sugar pearls and a 50m high Buddha statue on the top of the mountain behind the Zen Monastery.
