Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20 every year - A good tradition of the Vietnamese nation

On September 28, 1982, the Council of Ministers of the Government of Vietnam issued Decision No. 167-HDBT, which stated: Every year, November 20 will be the Vietnamese Teachers' Day. Since then, the day honoring the teaching profession and teachers, solemnly held nationwide, has become a traditional festival of teachers in Vietnam.

The event celebrating the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022) was identified by the Ministry of Education and Training as one of the key things in 2022 to honor and pay tribute to the efforts and contributions of the teaching staff in the cause of education and training development; creating inspiration, arousing the spirit of "wholeheartedly for dear students", motivating teachers and the whole Education sector to fulfill the task of "growing people" assigned by the Party, State and People.

The series of events to celebrate Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11/2022 is also an opportunity for the whole society to understand, share and accompany the Education sector to take care of building and developing a team of teachers, developing education. and training highly responsive to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. Thereby, educating and further promoting the Vietnamese nation's tradition of respecting teachers. At the same time, it is an opportunity to acknowledge and thank the support and help of organizations and individuals for the cause of education and training.

In the series of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day, representatives of the Party and State leaders and leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training had activities to visit, congratulate and thank the elderly teachers, who have made important contributions to the education and training of the country.

Many other activities are also organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Vietnam Education Union and the provinces/cities nationwide on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day such as: Inauguration of religious works create a monument of the Ministry of National Education (the first headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Training) in Tuyen Quang province; inaugurating the work of embellishing the memorial area for heroes and martyrs of the education sector at Truong Son National Cemetery, Quang Tri province; National People's Teacher Sports Festival and many other meaningful cultural and artistic activities.
