The two sides of the main door are planted with blooming yellow flowers that adorn Uncle Ho's mausoleum.
A special feature is that around Uncle Ho's mausoleum are planted many kinds of trees. The most special is the 79 thousand-year-old tree, which represents the main meaning of Uncle Ho's 79-year life. On the south and north sides are bamboo groves, a tree symbolizing the intense vitality and spirit, will, and character of the Vietnamese people. We still remember the verses in the poem "Visiting Uncle Ho's mausoleum" written by Vien Phuong about the image of bamboo rows around Uncle Ho's mausoleum extremely meaningful and moving:
"I am in the South to visit Uncle Ho's mausoleum

1. Specific schedule to visit the Mausoleum:
a) Opening hours of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in summer (from early April to October):
- On every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: Uncle Ho's mausoleum will be open at 7:30 am until 10:30 am, not open in the afternoon and evening.
- On Saturday, Sunday: Uncle Ho's mausoleum will open at 7:30 am and close 30 minutes later than usual and also not open in the afternoon and evening.
b) Opening schedule of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in winter (from November to March):
- On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: Uncle Ho's Mausoleum will be open from 8 am to 11 pm every day, not open in the afternoon and evening.
- On Saturdays and Sundays: Uncle Ho's mausoleum opens at 8am to 11:30am, closes 30 minutes later than weekdays and also does not open in the afternoon and evening.
- On Mondays and Fridays, Uncle Ho's mausoleum will be closed for maintenance of facilities. However, if that date coincides with the holidays of May 19, September 2 and the first day of the Lunar New Year, Uncle Ho's Mausoleum is still open to welcome visitors.
