The special feature of the Bao Ban Festival in Non Khe village directs children to remember their ancestors' gratitude
In Hong Duc's reign, King Le Thanh Tong; According to plot to move to new land, a group of people from Nam Son hamlet, Ha Nam under the orders of the King came down to this land to participate in building dikes to encroach on the sea (called Hong Duc dike). After completing the work, the group of people saw that this land was rich and convenient for settlement and cultivation, so they stayed to establish hamlets, cultivate, develop cultivation, agriculture...
People from other regions also moved here to live, the population developed and established Non Khe Village in 1470, including 4 hamlets: Chung hamlet, Cau hamlet, Thuong hamlet, Chua hamlet. All activities of the community in the village take place in the communal house. In the communal house, there are two parallel sentences: “Bách niên, văn vật thanh danh địa - Tứ giáp y quan lễ nhạc Đình”.
We see the special feature of the Non Khe Báo Bản Festival, which directs children to remember their ancestors' gratitude when attending this festival.
Experiencing the ravages of war, the harsh effects of natural disasters, the weather. The communal house of Non Khe village was built and restored many times by people in the village. In 2012, with the determination of the Party Committee, the authorities and people in the village restored the communal house and the village's documents in the winter of 2012. Traditionally, every year on the 14th day of the first lunar month, this festival is held. In fact, the uniqueness of the Non Khe Báo Bản Festival directs children to remember their ancestors' gratitude, and also shows the gathering of children and grandchildren to work far away from all over the world, even abroad to attend the ceremony.
According to the family's silk family, Bui took possession of the musk (Grandfather of the family is Bui Cong Man) still kept to this day; The reason for the name Non Khe was from the Le Thanh Tong period (1470 - 1497), the elders moved from Luc Non, Nam Chau (now in Duy Tien district, Ha Nam province) to this region and named the village Non. Khe to commemorate their old hometown of Luc Non and the new place to come to Coi Khe. By definition, "Non" is young, "Khe" is a stream. Non Khe means a new, fresh stream...
The Bao Ban Festival aims to repay the gratitude to the origin and merit of the ancestors according to the saying "Drink water, remember the source". No matter where you go, wherever you go, every year on the 13th and 14th of the first lunar month, the descendants of the village try to return to their hometown to attend the festival.
The villagers not only offer incense to commemorate the ancestors who have publicly discovered and founded the Village, but also offer incense to commemorate the village's descendants and martyrs who sacrificed heroically in the long wars. , protect the homeland, the country.
Those born in Non Khe Village have bought tickets for flights, trains, cars or driven their own cars to try to attend this festival. I observed that most people use professional cameras, smartphones... to film, take photos to save precious moments in this meaningful festival.
The Non Khe Báo Bản Festival also links cultural activities completely unique. This is the time to perform poems composed by the villagers themselves. The descendants of the village can't come back because they are far away, but they can send poems back and also be recited by the organizers or re-transformed into folk songs to sing. Every year on the 13th of January Lunar calendar, the Village organizes poetry recitation and dance and music in the Cultural Festival "Singing of the Motherland". January 14th is the day when exciting festival activities take place, including palanquin procession, dragon dance, lion dance, martial arts, whore shrimp nest, skills competition... sports activities: football , chess, shrimp nest... In addition, there are 2 Gate Dinh night markets (evening 12 and 13), attracting thousands of people from neighboring localities to meet, exchange and enjoy food... The Organizing Committee entered the church of the Bui family to occupy the gun (with the village public) to process the tablet of Mr. Bui Cong Man to live in the communal house for 3 days of the festival.
The ancient newspaper ceremony has the following four sentences: 蓬 伐 荻, 有 , 居 永 德 迁 。Vietnamese transliteration: "Bi bồng phạt địch, Hữu khai tất tiên, Quyết cư vĩnh điện, Công đức bất thiên". Meaning: Cut the grass to punish the thorns, build the bank to open the way, open the way from the beginning, establish a solid foundation for a long time, that merit never changes.
The special feature of Non Khe Báo Bản Festival directs children and grandchildren to remember their ancestors' gratitude, today's children and grandchildren are continuing to work and work... well to continue this fine cultural tradition.
